Cubesat

I completed a course in satellite design at the IHK University of copenhagen.

IHK is a specialized university that focuses on satellite engineering and offers a wide range of courses and programs in this field. During my time at IHK, I had the opportunity to learn about different types of satellites, their applications, and the design considerations that are crucial to their success. One of the most interesting projects that I worked on was the design of a CubeSat.

A CubeSat is a type of nanosatellite that has become increasingly popular in recent years due to its small size, low cost, and versatility. The CubeSat standard specifies a 10 cm x 10 cm x 10 cm cube as the basic unit, which can be combined with other cubes to form larger structures. As a member of a team tasked with designing a CubeSat, my role was to focus on the hardware and structural design, ensuring that our satellite would meet the required specifications.

The design process was both challenging and rewarding. We had to consider a range of factors, such as power consumption, communication systems, thermal management, and structural stability. We also had to work closely with other team members to ensure that our designs were compatible with the overall system.

Overall, the course at IHK provided me with a valuable opportunity to learn about satellite engineering and to apply my skills in a practical setting. I am excited to continue exploring this field and to see where my passion for engineering takes me next.
